On June 15, during the inaugural Fraser Paramedic Society Charity Tournament at Guildford Golf & Country Club in Surrey, Fraser Valley paramedic Michael ("Mike") O'Mahony delivered a moment that no one in attendance will soon forget.

Standing on the tee box at the 188-yard Hole #2, O'Mahony hit a shot that looked destined for the green. The ball carried beyond the pin before landing on the green and beginning to roll back toward the hole.

As players watched, the ball rolled back down the green, tracking directly toward the cup before disappearing into the hole.

For a brief moment, players waited for confirmation. Then the hole official raised both thumbs in the air, confirming the ace and sending cheers across the course.

What started as an impressive tee shot quickly became one of the defining moments of the tournament.

News of the hole-in-one quickly spread among players, sponsors, volunteers, and spectators. For many in attendance, it was a moment they would not soon forget.

With that single swing, O'Mahony earned a brand-new 2026 Honda CR-V TrailSport and became The Honda Way's first-ever hole-in-one winner.

What made the moment even more memorable was the reaction from those around him. As news of the hole-in-one spread across the course, fellow golfers, sponsors, and attendees were quick to congratulate O'Mahony, many speaking highly of his character and dedication as a paramedic. There was a genuine sense that the prize had found the right recipient.

For many in attendance, seeing a Fraser Valley paramedic walk away with the grand prize felt like a fitting conclusion to a day dedicated to recognizing the people who serve our communities.

Supporting Those Who Serve Our Communities

The inaugural Fraser Paramedic Society Charity Tournament brought together paramedics, community partners, sponsors, and supporters for a day of connection, fundraising, and community spirit.
The Fraser Paramedic Society is dedicated to supporting paramedics and strengthening the communities they serve. Events like the charity tournament help bring people together while supporting meaningful initiatives that recognize and support those who dedicate their lives to helping others.
For The Honda Way, being part of the event was about more than providing a prize vehicle. It was an opportunity to support an organization whose members make a difference every day throughout the Fraser Valley and beyond.
Supporting organizations that serve our communities has long been an important part of The Honda Way. As we celebrate 40 years in the community, opportunities to partner with local organizations and give back remain central to who we are.

A Historic Day for the Tournament and The Honda Way in Abbotsford

This year's tournament carried special significance for several reasons.
The Fraser Paramedic Society Charity Tournament celebrated its inaugural year, bringing together supporters for the first time in what organizers hope will become a lasting community tradition.
For The Honda Way, the event also marked another milestone during the dealership's 40th anniversary year.
Most notably, O'Mahony's shot created a piece of Honda Way history. His ace on the 188-yard Hole #2 made him the first-ever recipient of a Honda Way hole-in-one prize vehicle.
What made the moment even more meaningful was the person behind the achievement. Seeing a Fraser Valley paramedic win the grand prize was a fitting conclusion to a day focused on recognizing the people who serve our communities.
The moment was a reminder of what made the tournament so special. It was not simply about golf. It was about bringing people together, supporting an important cause, and celebrating the individuals who dedicate their lives to helping others.
